Detective Conan is the Scariest Anime

On Monday, I went to Angelin's house to watch Detective Conan. Yes, we'd made the deal wayyy before SPM, so it was mandatory. Anyhow, as usual, yours truly ppk-ed (fly aeroplane, or in cantonese, fong fei-kei) poor Angelin on Saturday due to some important obligations I had to fulfil, but nevertheless, I made it too (finally) to the doorstep of Ms. Angelin's house in the blazing Monday afternoon in my navy-blue USA Olympic edition of Nike T-shirt and errr... sorry, got carried away.

So, as I was saying, we planned to watch Detective Conan together because I dare not watch it alone. I know, I know, so sweat-case right? I have no idea why or how I became so afraid to watch Conan. Maybe it's because of the suspense and piercing sound effects that could make your heart skip 1000 beats and leave you in shock when it's actually a stupid anime with chibi characters some more! Urrrgh... yeah, it's just me. This anime has no adverse effects on other people as it does me. I'm a scaredy cat (Not that I had mentioned I was brave) but at least I managed to watch around 8 episodes on my own! Hahahaha big achievement! Felt more proud than scoring 100% for that undang test in that PMS-ed Auntie's place.

I got 7 dvds of the anime from my uncle and cousin. So I guess it'll take us a while to finish them off. -and leave me to endure sleepless nights *weeps*- Yohh! I want to watch it again with Angelin, 'cause she's so brave. And it's funny to have someone to laugh with even when the scenes are not really funny. What do you know? We can make jokes out of anything!

Merry Christmas everyone! *humming Christmas tunes*

All About Driving II

The next day after we took our Undang test, we had to do the practical session for 3 hours just so we get our 'L' licence. But on Friday, which was the day we took our Undang test, we sat for the driving theory session for 3 hours, which I won't be elaborating as Kar Pei had already done it.

The guinea pig of the day was Yi Lyn. Well, I can say that she 'mati enjin' for more than 12 times. (Don't laugh, Patsy. You're not as good either.). When she (finally) was able to reverse the car and start to drive, we, Audelia, Angelin, Joyce and I realised that our lives are at stake. Nevermind about that, all of us paid for the Kurnia insurance. *gee, chOiii! touch wood!*

I can't really remember the incident much, but I could remember Audelia stole Angelin from me!!!!

I enjoyed:

1. Looking at Yi Lyn's face when she 'mati enjin' and counting it at the same time.

2. Braking completely in one second - hahahaha just an inch away from the car in front of me.

3. Stepping on the acceleration pedal - which made my instructor and passenger (Yi Lyn) panicked. Especially the 'turun bukit' part. LOL

Anyhow, I'm going with Angelin for my regular lessons (yay!)

All about driving I

On Friday, we, Yi Lyn, Angelin, Audelia, Kar Pei, Kirthiga, Joyce and I went to Sungai Dua, to a building just right across USM to take our Undang-undang Jalan Raya test. I can say (not confirmed, in a way) that all of us were in a jolly good mood in the morning. We were the only few ones who could be seen at that moment, -not- holding that orange book. No, I didn't think I've finished the syllabus, but who cares? LOL

As the door opened at around 8.15am, we managed to queue first in the long, very long line. (Thanks to Audelia ^^) So, that meant we can start and finish the test as fast! But, as we were lining up, waiting for that old woman who was the only one working that day, much to her dissatisfaction (and to ours too, mind you), I was told by Yi Lyn that we had to bring 1 passpost-sized photo. Darnnnn... of all things she told me yesterday, she didn't tell me about the photo. I was really angry at that moment. And that old woman was warning us: (in hokkien) Please don't stand too close to that tripod. If it falls, blablabla.

That wasn't the worst part, as you should've seen her bloody temper. As much as I could remember, while I was waiting for my results, she snapped at one guy who was, too, waiting for his results. He asked her politely about when exactly can he get his results. Obviously someone had to ask her because she was taking too long to print the slips. We waited for about 40 minutes for her to get her things done. Sounds like she was really busy, but all she had to do was to call us one by one, snap our pictures, scan our ICs and thumbprints and send us to the room. BIG DEAL...

What she said to that poor guy was" You've already done your test, please don't make so much noise. What the heck, it was his right to ask. Because that old woman took her own sweet time, drank whatever that was in her thermos and threw tantrums at innocent people (Audelia included). Yi Lyn made an inside joke with us, saying "Did her husband run away with some other girl yesterday night?" and later we found out from our instructor from our driving school that she's single. And more inside jokes came about.

This is about the undang test day. Will post something up about driving soon. :) Cheers.

PS: All of us passed. HAHAHA right smack at her face. And she did peek at our results before handing it to us. Pffftttt...
PPS: All of us scored 46 and above! Double cheers!

Twilight

So, as a big fan of 'Twilight' and its sequels, I shall post my personal review of the movie.

1. Too many alterations - like the scene right when Bella arrives in Forks, she'd already met Jacob and Billy Black. Hmm... and when Bella confessed about her knowledge of Edward's... errrrm 'uniqueness', it happened in Edward's car, not in a lush, green forest of the Amazon (literally)

2. Typical 'Malaysian' censorship - That 30-minute intense passion of Edward and Bella in Bella's room was censored, to avoid unnecessary arousal among some viewers who just can't... control their desires. Wise move, I wonder.

3. Edward has too-red lips - which does not really compliment that pale, grey skin of his. Looks scary, in fact. (Well, he was supposed to be that)

4. Predictable dialogues - maybe it's just me. Forget this.
Correction: Angelin, it's money... sex.... money... sex.... cat... and you... nothing. (And sex is not a foul word =.=)

5. I just can't get over the fact that the kissing scene was scraped off. Hmph!

6. Good choice of casts - Exactly as I imagined them to me when I was reading the book. Except for Bella, of course. The book doesn't state that she has half-protruding front teeth, and a low voice. Emmett didn't have curly hair in the movie. But Rosalie looked quite good. Alice, well... I imagine her to be smaller, but she's okay. Carlisle, attractive as he was portrayed in the novel. :)

7. Too little appearances of humans - like Tyler and... Lauren???

Words that touch minds and hearts

This post is dedicated to all my friends who've left their footprints on the path of Patsy's life.

Those words that you've written in my book are priceless. So are your drawings and decorations!

I have the best best-friend in the world. Guess why?

She designed this ambigram for me, me and only ME. So touched, k? Which best friend can do that HUH? Okay la. It's nothing big but it meant a lot to me. We used to read Angels and Demons and recite the sequence together. Like who was dead first and where. Seriously, if only Sejarah = Angels and Demons. Everyone will score A easily. So in conclusion, Angelin's the best best-friend to have. But sorry, she's mine. Go find someone else.

This cute design of my name and my favourite color! She took her time off from her nothing-but-studying-sejarah schedule to do this for me. (note: I didn't force her to do that)

The Song Lyric page. By the way, she wrote 8 pages for me. I wrote only 4 for her. :( will continue after SPM, k?

And to Chuin Jim: Thanks for the little piece of meaningful note. And I'm not emo-ing. Congrats again, Uncle Jim.

Mr. Koay's Theory

We were discussing about the Antilock Braking System (ABS)

Student: Sir, what's ABS?
Mr. Koay: Actually, I don't really know. I came across this term when I was reading a brochure from the Toyota Showroom. Basically, the idea is this *Mr. Koay-explains pose* the antilock braking system prevents the tyres from locking completely. Because when a car brakes immediately, the force on the both ends of the car is not equal. The car may spin lah.

-continues explaining-

Mr. Koay: You know ah, 'P' drivers like you all *points at the students* always get involved in car accidents. You know why? Because your driving skill is sufficient for normal driving only. You see, during an emergency... you all will go 'paaaniiiccccccc'.

Class: Hahahahahaha

Mr. Koay: I've been driving for so many years and I always come across young drivers like you all. Speeeeeeding on the roads. And when suddenly a dog runs across or the car in front suddenly brakes, you will do 2 things.
You will either...

1) Step on the emergency brake completely. (and get yourself thrown out of the car)
2) Believe it or not, some of them stepped on the acceleration pedal!

Class: Hahahahahaha

Mr. Koay: You don't laugh! It's true. You won't know what you're doing... you'll just step on anything. Just anything that can be stepped on, the clutch la whatever....

Class: Hahahahahaha

Big, Fat Rights

[EDIT]

Do not judge a book by its cover, the saying goes...

Do we really see? Or is it just a glance? Why do we ignore, when there's something better behind what we see?

Okay, I'll go straight to the point.

Recently, I came across several blog posts whereby the contents were clear, without obscuring what the real intention was: To denounce people who are big in size. Let me first ask you a simple question. Is it wrong to be plump? After all, God made them this way. In any way, God made us to be special, or at least we think we are. Sadly, to some people who think with their buttocks, they equate fat with crime.

Honestly, who wouldn't want to look attractive? Why do some people see things as what they appear to be? Don't they ponder what lies beneath the surface? Does a person's outlook reflect who they really are within?

Comments like, "Patsy, you are so small. I think you can fit into my pocket," are often thrown at me. Perhaps that is not as offensive/hurtful as comments like "You Fat a**" or the worst way, sarcasm. "You are so slim" doesn't really sound sincere when you're saying that to someone twice your size, you know what I mean?

I'm disgusted by people who think they are so good-looking that they think the have the rights to insult others' appearances. Okay, maybe you're not as fat as her, or as huge as her, but think again. Do you think she wants to be fat? To wear XL-sized shirts? To be insulted and make major headlines in your blogs and laughed by mindless readers who have the same mentality as you? I ask again. Who wouldn't want to look attractive?

Humans are humans because humans are different from one another. Get it?

To be attractive is one thing. To have a character which complements the attractive appearance is another thing. Beautiful face + unpleasant character = loser. Look into the mirror and see the heart within you before you criticize someone.

Why are fat people often oppressed? Because they look lazy. They look sluggish. They are simply, unpleasant to the eyes. And we laugh at them. HAHA. I saw this interesting news on a Taiwanese news channel. A lady was denied a job offer simply because she was too heavy. I mean, seriously, she was weighed even before the job interview. This job requirement is ridiculous.

And the company's reason for rejecting her? The company wanted slim, good-looking women as the promoters. (The company sells spectacles) So, the lady didn't get the job because she was too fat.

I have a friend who's quite big in size. She was being detested and hated by some idiots who think they are good-looking, or at least, better looking than her. The laughable issue here is those idiots are nobody better than my big friend. My friend is helpful, sociable and kind-hearted. And yet, she's hated. She told me several times before that she cried in the toilet because she was hurt by what people said about her. It's sad, really. To see someone being condemned like this, it really is challenging my patience.

To those people who have any blog post criticizing people who are fat, I'm shoving this post right into your throats.

So, look at yourself in the mirror until you're d*rn sure before you start to laugh at fat people.

5 Arifians Are Role Models?

So, school was a little unusual today. Guess what? Attendance was 37.5%, which is equivalent to 17/40. Amazing? Well, at the end of the day, the percentage dropped to only 35%. Both our monitors were absent, so no one took the initiative to take the 'Pemantauan' book from Puan Su's office. But 5 Arif being 5 Arif, Aw Yi Lyn became the class monitor of the day. Instead of filling in the names of those who 'Tidak Hadir', Yi Lyn resorted to filling in the names of those who 'hadir'.

Unfortunately, we had double Sejarah this morning. Puan Salmah came into our class and she felt the urge to ask our principal to walk up to our class just to see how 'good' the class attendance was.

God was on our side. Puan Lim's car was nowhere to be seen :)

Puan Salmah's Sejarah lessons are frightful because you can be called to answer questions anytime. Unless you're prepared. Well, all of us 'kena' today of course. Only 17, right?

Basically, we did nothing much today. Miss Koay's the only reason 5 Arifians go to school every Friday. Apart from her very important if-don't-go-can-die lessons, nothing seems to be the reason for us to go to school.

I chose to go to school today because:
1) If I don't, I might end up waking at 11am.
2) I'll be leaving school soon.
3) I want to eat canteen food. Good opportunity! Because the canteen might not be 'flooded' like any other day.
4) I just love to go to school.

Honestly, I am slightly disgusted by people who skip school because there are no important subjects that day. This shows zero respect to the subject teachers - as though the subjects they teach are of no importance at all.

If you tell me, some teachers are away for courses etc., that is still acceptable. But, look, only Miss Koay's not here. We've 3 periods of Sejarah to be exact (Jadual waktu anjal -.-) and EST. Thanks to those who stayed at home this morning, classes were -literally- cancelled.

We (KP, Angelin, Audelia, Yi Lyn, Julin and I) were doing some discussion on various topics.

Yi Lyn: You see, normally girls won't like girls who are pretty.
Patsy: ...
Julin: 'Cause guys will like pretty girls. It's competition, see?
Yi Lyn: So, girls will not like girls who are pretty and they will like girls who are not as pretty as them.

Hmmm, so, only ugly girls can become good friends?

Patsy: You know Chinese people translate names in a very funny way? Pizza Hut is called 'Pi Shen Ke' in China.
Kar Pei: Yeah, yeah! And Starbucks is called 'Xing Ba Ke'.
Patsy: Carrefour = Jia Le Fu
Kar Pei: You know what they call Spongebob as? Hai Mien Bao Bao.
Patsy: So Big Apple doughnuts will be... what's doughnut in Mandarin?
Kar Pei: Tian Tian Quen (note: not very sure of this)
Patsy: Da Ping Guo Tian Tian Quen! So Missy Donut will be Tian Tian Quen Xiao Jie.

This conversation pissed YL off 'cause she couldn't understand LOL.

The End of Our Journey

Now that we’re asking our classmates to pen a few words in our autograph books, I realized that this would be the last time we’ll see each other’s handwritings which bear our deepest thoughts about each other. We’ve been together since standard one in primary school. We see each other’s faces every beginning of the year when school reopens. We run around in the field, play ‘Iceman’, Police and Thief (? Can’t remember the name lol) together… all these memories seem to perforate so easily now. My childhood days are spent this way, together with my classmates… and that’s the sole reason why I look forward to going to school everyday.

We meet, we part and we meet again. Now it’s time for us to part. Life has to go on… I sometimes think, if only time stands still. If only we can stay as students forever, forever 17. Maybe 16, because 17=SPM. We can see each other everyday, joke everyday, tease each other everyday. If I had the opportunity to relive my childhood days, I will not choose to live them some other way. I’m contented with all the good and bad memories I had. Nothing is perfect.

Thank you, friends, for being a part of my life. I will always remember you (each and every one). No matter which end of the world you might end up living in, we shall keep in touch.

I quote Mr. Oung (surprisingly)

There will be a time in the future when you’re too tired to do everything – and that’s the time you’ll think back of your secondary school life, in Form Five. You will think that life was so easy those days. And those days that you’ve spent with your friends will be the fondest memory in your life.

How true.

26 more days to SPM…

A Meaningful Day

This post is titled so because today indeed is a meaningful day. How often can you meet someone like Tony Buzan, know that 99% of your brain cells are taking everyday off and realise that you're actually a genius? I'm not going to elaborate on that as I expect many of my blogger classmates are going to write "essays" describing the event and our thrilling journey through the winding roads of Tanjung Bungah.

With love,
Patsy.

p/s: Wish me luck for my last recording session tomorrow. The very last one! :D

A Short One

Just a quick post before I indulge in yet another nice, long afternoon nap. Mom's in the hospital. The freaking hospital is so freaking inefficient! I had to make n-trips just to settle the registration, payment, admission and all those junk. Mind you, each counter is so far away from the other. And I was alone as dad was with mom. Those people work like.... Argh. If you're asking which hospital, leave a message. :)

ps: The hospital has a satisfactory cafeteria!
pps: I skipped school. Dad said "Don't have to go la, okay?"

My love.

For two freaking years already. I'm going back to him now.

Books and Magazines

I went to Queensbay on Thursday and I bought this:

(Angelin, be jealous.)

(Actually, you don't have to because, as you can see, I'm a kind person. so I'll lend it to you, OK?)

So, as I was saying, I bought this book:

The Sherlock Holmes Mysteries.

The book contains 22 stories, of which I've read a few before. Price? Rm20+. Don't bother going to Borders to get this now because it seems I bought the very last one. But there are a few more different collections if you are interested, but you'll have to pay more. :D

Don't let the title of the novel fool you. It's not like those boring detective someone-died-and-the-detective-shot-the-murderer kind of story. It's like reading the Da Vinci Code. Thrilling.

And I also bought the October edition of Reader's Digest! I missed the September edition, but, nevermind. It seems that they've changed the layout. And the jokes are not that -sweat-case- anymore!

I find this very interesting. it's from the Word Power section. Read on:

1) Spoonerism - saying "right lane" for "light rain".
We say that sometimes, don't we?

2) Neologism - A made-up or coined word. e.g. She just had a big brainstorm - she calls it a psychlone.
LOL

3) Cruciverbalist - A lover of crossword puzzles. e.g. I shun cruciverbalists. They're either cross or down.
LOL LOL LOL

And some jokes:

1. The pastor asks his flock, "What would you like people to say when you're in the casket?"
One congregant says, "I'd like them to say I was a fine family man."
Another says, "I'd like them to say I helped people."
And the third responds, "I'd like them to say, 'Look! I think he's moving!'"

2. Lawyer: Do you know when that meeting occured?
Witness: The March 9 meeting?
Lawyer: Yes.
Witness: March 9.

Ok, I've to admit. This is a -sweatcase- joke.

Tata! XD

AEON Seberang Perai vs. Queensbay Mall

I went to Aeon this afternoon. Well, not exactly a head-to-head comparison. Just a few conspicuous things I noticed.

1) Aeon has less "branded" stores. Queensbay has loads, which (sadly) I cannot afford.

2) Aeon has TOO MANY shoe stores. Too many that it's so obscene. And the shops sell shoes which look the same. To me. Haha.

3) Aeon has cool toilets. Not like the bl*ody Queensbay washrooms which make us walk through labyrinthine paths just so we get to pee or wash our hands.

3) And Aeon has special miniature toilet seats and shower room for kids. And those come with unique-looking signboards.

4) And there are dressing tables with 4 huge mirrors in the washrooms in Aeon.

5) And I took pictures of the washrooms! Except for the Gents', of course.

6) Queensbay has a larger diversity of good food. You can't deny that although Aeon has the Big Apple Donut shop which is crowded every second. I gave up.

7) There are more girls who wear knee-high (black) stockings walking in Aeon. Seriously lah.

I guess I shall stop here. I'm going to Queensbay tomorrow. Hope to spot more differences!

That Afternoon

Just realised I haven't been posting normal posts nowadays due to -some reasons- (this sounds familiar). So, here goes a normal blog post as understood by Patsy.

I went to tuition yesterday. I was supposed to get the Prom Night report from Hwei Yuin. Unfortunately, our Chief Reporter (a.k.a Yi Lyn) did not contact Hwei Yuin to ask Hwei Yuin to get the report from her. So, when Hwei Yuin came, without the report, I was speechless. The first thing that came to my mind was... to kill AW YI LYN.

The night before, Michelle told me to proofread the report and then send it to Wei Shian by evening the next day.

And I thank God for having such a kind friend. Hwei Yuin agreed to go to Yi Lyn's house to get the report and then she'll pass the report to me.

Finally, everything's settled.

P/S: Chee Lee edited the report! Loves.
PP/S: This post is not so normal afterall.

My band buddies

1. Jefrey - I know it's almost impossible for you to read this (reason being you're a VERY BUSY person), but I just want to thank you for everything that you've done. That includes giving me truckloads of advice and teaching me how to handle stress. And thanks for the chocolate mint birthday cake that you bought, and that's my favourite flavour although nobody seemed to like it very much. And the candles, I'll never EVER forget that. :)

2. Mei Jie - For all those little things we shared among ourselves. There's no harm in standing up for yourself and voice out your own opinion. I've tried and it's really good (although the outcome is not so pleasant). Don't let -others- tell you what to do. If you need a hand, I'll be right here to kick some buttocks. XD

3. Stan - For all the hilarious moments that made my day. It's really fun to hang out and chat once in a while. And I hate your Apple gadgets. I mean it!

4. Jon - for being so good in playing the bass. What else... uhmm...

5. Yap - for being a good listener. I love talking and laughing with you over small matters like... you doing splits! Haha... and being your accompanist for 'You Raise Me Up' for countless times. Your Josh Groban vocals and your violin skills are *speechless*

Loves.

The Peculiar Habit

I'm very surprised to find out that some people in my class have odd, funny habits. And habit to me is something which is done frequently.

Why is it that we have to compare with those around us to see who scored highest in Add Maths?
Why must we gather around the teacher's table just so we can catch a glimpse of our 'supposed' self-declared rivals' marks?
Why must we volunteer to help any teacher to record the marks just so we can know how well other people did inside out?

And why others...

1) Ask around for other people's marks? I mean, even if your curiousity is about to kill you and poison you from within, what good will it do if you know their marks?

Maybe just one thing. The euphoria when you found out that the top student scored lower than you.

2) Purposely ask around for other people's marks when they themselves scored the highest?

This is just cr*p.

Today...

1. I didn't get to sleep in the afternoon.

2. I attended band practice from 3-10!!!!

3. I had a 'bonding session'/pillow talk with my drummer. Probably the one good thing to cap off today's controversial 'situation'.

4. I'm not happy.

Patsy's Top 10 Guides on How To Be A Best Friend

#1 Always be there for them. That includes going to the loo with them.

#2 Always ask them to eat whatever food you think is nice. If they refuse, ask them to eat anyway.

#3 Laugh at their jokes.

#4 Never be jealous of their achievements.

#5 Instead, work harder next time to beat them, if you're the I'm-always-better-than-her best friend (hmmm, will you call that a best friend, huh?)

#6 NEVER ever have the thought of stealing their boyfriends (this should be number 1)

#7 Give them advice if they come across j*rks/B*****ds, eventhough you know you can't be of much help.

#8 In reference to #7, if your friend is the stubborn type, go for the brainwashing method instead.

#9 Or you can buy a voodoo doll and wait, where was I? Oh.

#10 Tell them your secrets and your evil plans. Who knows they might be more evil than you? LOLLLLL

The Ambiguity of Pretence

Pretence, as most of you may be aware of, is sometimes a very useful defence mechanism (provided that you are a very good liar, of course haha) but it may stir uneasiness and some pain in the butt.

Exaggerated reactions like: OH MY GODDDD!!!!! or HOLY CR*P for tiny matters are really irritating

Just to what extend that we can actually bear with 'pretence'?

I'll shall give you some conspicuous examples which many of you (I believe) will agree with me.

Example 1

A: What did you get for your [any difficult subject] paper?
B: Very low. 80 only. *shows pathetic disappointed expression*

Excuse me miss, 80 for a very difficult paper is considered VERY LOW? Get a life. I'm sorry I've been using "get a life" obsessively nowadays.

Example 2

A: (she gets 68 for the God forsaken EST/Moral paper) See la. This paper will obviously pull down my percentage and this will affect my position in class and then my daddy, mommy, grandpa, grandma, auntie, uncle will kill me! *rants on and on*

Honestly, I shall say..... Try harder next time *flashes an annoying grin*

Example 3

A: Eh, B. Can you please help me with this sum?
B: Oh this one. Very easy only what.

A: I hate this chapter. I've read it over and over and I still can't get it.
B: *innocent tone* That chapter ah? I like lah. To me it's the easiest wor.

Note that I highlight the word very easy. Hello? People ask you to solve a sum and there you go showing off that question is like peanuts to you.

I know the above situations are very familiar to some of you. If you're one of them, I hope you'd get the message and stop showing of your Einsteinette brain and consider other people's feelings. You may get a skyhigh marks but too bad it wasn't up to your expectations, have you ever thought of those who didn't even get half your marks???

ELS Buffet Lunch

Not going to type everything here like other chick blogs.

e.g. Went to Yi Lyn's house at around 11 something?
(seriously, who cares?)
Puan Gan fetch us there. Thanks Puan Gan! and then we picked up Miss Ang. Reached Traders Hotel at 12.30pm and the place was colddddd.

[Insertscamwhorepictureshere]

Get a life. Reading this kind of blog makes me feel nauseous. It's like reading Sejarah textbook which will make everyone go "When did this happen again?" and in this case, "Who did she say she waited for just now? *scrolls up* Oh well, whatever."

Haha, who said she didn't want to type like other chicks do in their blogs? I just typed one. Okay. Not going to bore you will unnecessary details (which made me incensed in case you are wondering). But things like that are not going to spoil my appetite.

The 'Islanders' serves superb food. I tried almost everything except for the salad (and that earned us a lecture from Miss Ang).

This is my first time going back there since the renovation, oh well, will plan for a second visit :)

Take a Break!

Well, exams are finally over and I can sit in front of this ravishing (kidding) PC and blog compulsively. Right after I typed the word 'compulsively', I realised my wrong choice of word. LOL

So, exams are finally over (redundancy) and it's time for some fun with the crazy bunch. And to Chee Lee, take it easy. Get some time off to do something fun. Be like me, go into the exam hall armed with 2 out of 8 chapters. Not really helping here lol.

I seriously have nothing to talk about anymore. Oh yea, met a new bass guitarist who'll be replacing Jon for the upcoming Jazz fest.

It's the BAND season again.

Simple Instructions Too Complicated For Form Five Students

I'm perplexed by the 'mind-blowing' behaviours and attitude of the seventeen-year-olds. Complex formulae, equations, the 1001 Sejarah facts seemed so easy to be digested and vomitted during examinations. But why, WHY is it that simple instructions like 'Please Keep Quiet' and 'Be Seated' are ignored again and again during exams and the poor teachers have to use sarcasm to settle this situation. Is this the way to behave, fellow Form Fives?

I can understand that exams are giving us sheer stress, but we should not use that as an excuse to break school rules etc. Does that mean every student who sits for some exam can do whatever she likes?

Well, I'm sure all of us here are well 'educated' enough to understand the statement I'm about to reveal:

'Jangan Buka Kertas Soalan Sehingga Diberitahu'

and some of us are happily flipping away.

Mind you, that particular statement is bolded and printed in CAPITAL LETTERS. Too bad the words are not coloured, if not I think it's wise to print them in fluorescent YELLOW.

In this kind of situation, everyone is to be blamed by the teachers. The quiet, the noisy, the sleepy, the conscious.

And I'm not trying to boot-lick the teachers. If you think I am, it's just because you're one of those who cannot understand simple English/Malay.

Patsy's Review: The Rich (1st edit)

Well, this post may be a little offensive, especially for those of you drowning in riches and branded goods eversince u were born. Not all, of course.

[What I see, what I hear, what I've been through]

1) I'm disgusted by people who think so highly of themselves just because they have money and can go anywhere in this world. I mean their dad's money.

2) They think they own the world because they've been to Dubai, Australia, Arctic Circle, South pole, North pole (and met Santa Claus btw) and thinks that people who are NOT like them (meaning people who don't get their butts off from Malaysia before) are losers.

3) They mingle with their own kind. People who are of the same social status.
If your father doesn't own four cars, stay away!

4) They think they are 'destined' to receive education from 'International' or 'Private' School.
I mean, why not? My dad earns RM100k a month. Public school students are so low-class.

5) They use money to BUY education.
Yalah, your family so rich what. You can step into the university at the age of 17 and graduate before anyone. And get your PhD before 25. And probably run for presidency in the USA and get assassinated HAHAHAHA so what? U don't have anything. U just have money. Average joes like us have to sit for some l.a.m.e examination, also known as the SPM. Perhaps, you've heard of it?

6) They have bad attitudes. (and I don't blame the parents, of course)

7) They are self-centered. Of course, like I've said, they mingle with their own kind, the RICH and fabulous. There's no tolerance, apologies, whatever. There's only money. And that's what they talk about.

8) They hurt others and don't give a d*Mn about it. They can never understand how others feel. No, they're just rich.

9) Please give me your feedback.

*The above list doesn't not refer to all rich people. We can find some nice, opulent humans walking on Earth too.

Song/Piece Recommendation

Was browsing for some Jazz pieces by Michel Camilo @ Limewire. Well, I got to know about this great pianist when my teacher chose his piece, On Fire for the Electone Festival in June. Will upload the competition vid soon (I've said this twice :p). I decided to get it from my teacher MYSELF. It has been 3 months. Miss the good old days.

Anyways, Jimmy Boyle and the Jazz Festival is another major competition I'm taking part in. Be sure to be there because it's after the SPM! (no more excuses). We (an amateur group) will be up against several professional contenders - USM undergraduates and performers under 25. A good experience maybe. This kind of oppurtunity is rare and hard to come by.

So, back to my point of this post. Jazz pieces, yes.

Michel Camilo & Tomatito - Libertango (Piano and guitar duet)
Great combination. Will lay my hands on their album soon.

Michel Camilo - Descarga for Tito (Piano and drums)
Classic Michel Camilo jazz style

Michel Camilo - Anthony's Blues (Piano and drums)

Will update some more in the future. Feeling a lil' drowsy.

Good night! (or rather... good morning?)

Formidable days

I've been busy in the past few days - Check 'What's Up' for latest happenings and updates.

I will be done with trials in 7 more weekdays. Can't wait to go for movies with mom and dad. :D and settle down with books again after that.

That's all. Not going to blog on the 'process of essay production' and 'How I hold my pee for 2 hours'. Hehe.

Wish me luck!

Declaration of Peace and Harmony

Sigh, I guess I've to speak of this myself as many of you think that Angelin and I are blog-fighting/in a blog-war.

First and foremost, Angelin is my best friend and we're still in good terms albeit she insulted me, tarnishing my reputation, made me lose my dignity, just joking. The blog posts (mine and hers) are designed to stir a good laugh, you know... have some sense of humour. Don't you think our posts are funny? Yea la, insulting each others, all lies and exaggeration, but still funny right? Say yes.

Currently, we still laugh and talk and cry together. And yes, she proved my clumsiness when I accidentally poked her butt with my note book. Sorry about that. :)

Will be off from here for a while.

I'm Innocent!

Well, for those of you who blog-hopped this blog and Angelin's blog, you might've noticed that the latest post in her blog (as of today) is about how dangerous and violent Patsy is.

Hence, I need to take necessary actions to prove Patsy's innocence. The story in Angelin's blog (link above) is truly, 100%, genuinely FICTIONAL. As you can see, Patsy is a very careful person. She's very alert and aware of the people around her. She will not do anything dangerous to harm or injure her friends.

As quoted from Angelin's post, "Pat is always carelessly, or rather clumsily doing her things." - evidence here.

This statement is totally untrue.

For those of you who've read that post, please ignore the writer (Angelin) as she was proven to be mentally unstable for a couple of times in the past.

Sincerely,
Patsy's water-bottle (eye-witness)

BYE Olympics... See you when I'm 21

Finally, the highly anticipated (used to) and most talked-about event in the past 15 days has come to an end. As in tonight it will end. Hehe So I shall say bye-bye to:

1) The marvellous 11 channels that cater to the viewers' needs and urge to keep up with the Games 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

2) Olympic ads by Maxis and Astro.

3) Excuses used by yours truly to skip revision - watch Michael Phelps.

4) Okay, Michael Phelps and his remarkable victory highlights.

5) Fu Wa's dances in between programmes..

6) The talk of the Games among the old, young, gay, straight, people who think that Michael Phelps is a reincarnated shark, people who think Paris Hilton should be in the gymnastics team and the list goes on.

7) The fact that I shoved E!, Star World, Animax etc. because of the Olympic Games.

8) Michael Phelps waving and flashing his gold medal(s) to the camera.

9) Michael Phelps.

10) The national anthem of China playing over the PA each time someone wins a gold medal. NOT.

11) Lee Chong Wei on TV. (So many times until I can actually mimic his act of kissing the emblem of Malaysia on his shirt and lying flat on the court when he beat Lin Dan. Eh, no. Lee Hyun-Il.)

12) The joy of watching someone defeating China in any game.

13) The euphoria whenever the Men's 4x100m medley is replayed.

14) That makes me want to mention Michael Phelps again.

15) The last one. The fact that I've to wait another 4 years to regain everything that's stated above.

National Service 2009

Well, to start things off, I've been given the 'privilege' to be a part of the NS Community next year.

Why on earth am I making this NS thing sound so noble and special?

Come back to the real world, Patsy!

Okay, I checked for my 'status' via SMS on Tuesday when Zhu Lian texted me the 5-digit 'heaven-or-hell' number. So...

The irony - TAHNIAH! (Note that, with an exclamation mark some more!) Anda telah dipilih... (couldn't remember the whole text. After all, that wasn't a message worth dwelling in my inbox, right?) Seconds later, I called Angelin and helped her with this NS thing.

She didn't have the opportunity to be a part of this once in a life time experience.

And why am I talking as though not being chosen for NS is a thing for people to cry for?

Anyhow, the reply came in: Harap maaf. (hear that, they actually apologise because they can't afford to accomodate you in their camp sites!)

So, I shall prepare myself for this so-called opportunity so that I'm able to combat bad guys/serial murderers/rapists/stalkers/madmen/people who worship angelina jolie etc.

Blog re-intro

Hi. My main reason for creating another blog is pretty lame.

My previous blog has been 'reverted' to classic template by yours truly. No links, no gadgets, no nothing.

Second reason (a good one, I promise!), I need a space to express my thoughts and opinion... and my dissatisfaction with some issues - about school or the country (ISA!!!)

So, I guess I've made my point. If you're a parochial person who cannot accept any criticism or comment, don't come back again.
